It was a great week for NeuroPickleball at the USA Pickleball Mountain Regional Championship. Joe took gold in the 50+ Men’s 5.0 Doubles and 55+ Mixed 5.0 Doubles and Carrie Lane, one of our NeuroPickleball Trained Instructors won gold in the 60+ Women’s 4.5 Doubles. Both players got their Golden Ticket to play in this year’s Nationals.
There were a variety of paths to gold
55+ Mixed 5.0 Doubles
Joe and his mixed partner Pam Stevenson played in a round robin format where all teams produced wins and gold was eventually decided by a tie-breaker. Heat and wind were challenging for everyone and Joe used a lot of NeuralTraining to stay loose and activated and maintain relaxed focus throughout the matches.
60+ Women’s 4.5 Doubles
The wind was also very challenging for the Women’s Doubles. Carrie and her partner Janelle Lobmier decided to make the wind their friend and instead of getting frustrated by wild shots, they laughed and enjoyed the craziness. Carrie and Janelle had a second round loss and worked their way through the opportunity bracket to their eventual win.
50+ Men’s 5.0 Doubles
Joe and Partner Matt Dimock powered through the winner's side of an eight team bracket in the Men’s Doubles, only losing one game along the way.
